There are two methods to enable or disable printing in Microsoft edge. But please note that if you are a Windows 10 Home edition user you can do it only by Registry Editor. If you are a user who is using Microsoft Windows 10 Pro or the Enterprise version, you can go through any of the below methods. So let’s get started:

1. Using Group Policy

2. Using Registry Editor

1. Using Group Policy

As mentioned above, to enable or disable printing Microsoft Edge using Group Policy you need to be a user of Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise edition.

These are the following steps you need to follow to enable or disable printing in Microsoft Edge using Group Policy.

· Right-Click on the Start button and open RUN, type “gpedit.msc” in the RUN dialogue box and proceed with the Enter key.

· A Group Policy Editor will open navigate to this address

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Microsoft Edge

· Now click on the Microsoft Edge, lot of policy will appear, on the right side click on Allow printing service

· Double click on “Allow Printing Service” you will find three option namely Not configured, Enabled and Disabled. Mark the checkbox Enable/Disable as per the need.

· Click on Apply and OK button to save the changes on your computer.

After applying the desired option restart your computer to notice the change.

2. Using Registry Edition

Please note that this method is a bit risky and wrong changes could lead to damage to your computer. So read the full process very carefully before applying the changes.

· Type “regedit” on the dialog box and click on Enter key to move to Registry Edition.

· The User Account Control (UAC) may prompt on the screen, click on the Yes option,

· Navigate to the following location inside the Registry Edition on the left side of the screen.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\Main

· If you don’t want to go through this long process you can type the above location in the Address Bar of the registry editor and click on the Enter key.

· After reaching the following page, select the folder “Main” after that move to the right side and look for a Registry file called “AllowPrinting”.

· Right-click on “AllowPrinting” and select Modify option. If you don’t find “AllowPrinting”, create a new 32-bit DWORD value and name it “AllowPrinting”

· Double click on the “AllowPrinting” button and set Value Data.
